Waltzing Mechanics
EL Stories

Pay: Stipend

Description:

The Waltzing Mechanics are seeking versatile, creative actors of all types for their 25th installment of EL Stories, directed by Mary Patchell. This installment will explore the theme of the unexpected. Moments of seeing people beyond our initial impression. It will explore what happens when we allow ourselves to really open our eyes and see beyond the differences, when we are forced to see ourselves in the other. And where there is a lot of difference, there is also a lot of kindness and commonality.

Actors of diverse ethnic backgrounds especially encouraged to submit.

EL Stories, Chicago's hit late-night documentary theatre project, uses real-life transit tales to explore our diverse experiences as we move through this dynamic city.

Auditions are Saturday, February 13th from 12pm-5pm
Callbacks are Saturday, February 20th from 12pm-5pm

Both auditions and callbacks will take place at the Greenhouse Theater Center.

Rehearsals: Begin Monday, February 29th and will run Monday through Thursday from 7pm-10pm.
Tech: Tuesday, March 29th 6pm-11pm
Performances: Every Saturday night at 10:30pm from April 2nd - June 18th

Please bring one hard copy of your H/R to the audition.
