ABOUT FACE THEATRE is casting one remaining understudy for the first show of our 2016 season - a world premiere production of LE SWITCH by Philip Dawkins, directed by Stephen Brackett, with performances at Theater Wit in January/February 2016. We are seeking non-union submissions for the lead role of DAVID. (Breakdown below.)

Understudies receive a flat fee of $500 for the project. We do not require understudies to be at every rehearsal, yet understudies are welcome (and encouraged to attend!) throughout the entire rehearsal process. We do expect folks to be off book by the time we start tech and to have the blocking down by the first preview. After opening, there will be understudy rehearsals once a week.

BREAKDOWN

DAVID: 30's. Born and raised in New York. Sarah's twin brother. A professor of Library Sciences at a prominent NYC university (something like Fordham). David fled his terrible parents when he was a teen to come to school in the city in the late nineties. Reserved, shy, unlucky in love, a bit repressed, but very smart, knowledgeable. He's harder on himself than he is on his friends, and he's almost embarrassed by how much space he takes up in the world, even though he spends his life making space for others. Collects unopened books. Unironic cardigan-wearer.
