Description:

Li'l Buds Theatre Company is holding auditions for Tinsel! The Musical. Telling the story of a nearsighted reindeer's rise from life as a clumsy waitress in Frosty's diner to being a famous recording artist, TINSEL! THE MUSICAL will put the star on top of your holiday season with its unique blend of country, jazz, blues and pop music. TINSEL! THE MUSICAL (a sequel to last year's FROSTY'S SHAKES 'N' DOGS which was a prequel to the previous year's THOSE SILLY REINDEER!) teaches young audience members about the pitfalls of fame and the rewards of being true to yourself.

Tinsel (female) - our heroine, nearsighted and clumsy, loves country music but can't seem to find her place in the world. An amazing country singer with a bigger than life awkward personality.

Dastardly Snide (male) - our villain, a con artist working as a talent agent. Vaudeville villain type.

Sneakly (male/female) - Snide's sidekick, a con artist working as a stylist, typical dim witted side kick character type.

Frosty (male) - the famous Snowman, runs a diner, loves to sing and dance. Crooner style singer dreams of being like Frank Sinatra.

TeeLee (female) - a Christmas tree, southern and gossip-y with attitude. Soul singer with star aspirations.

Paul R. Bear/Paula Bear (male/female child or adult) - the North Pole's equivalent to any Access Hollywood/Extra reporter.

Tinsel's #1 Fan/Simone Cruelle/Nail Buffer (male/female CHILD) - multiple character part - crazed fan, harsh talent show judge and lowly celebrity server. Must be able to play multiple roles.

Ginger Breadman (male/female CHILD) - One soggy cookie with good intentions. A little nervous and meek works as a busboy at the diner.

Elf- (male/female CHILD) - Santa's overworked sidekick. Very sarcastic and frustrated with life at the pole, dreams of being a stand up comedian.
