Metropolis Performing Arts Centre is proud to announce auditions for our yearly production of A Christmas Carol. This production will be directed by Resident Music Director Micky York and choreographed by Kristine Burdi in an adaptation by Resident Playwright Scott Woldman.
Audition Dates for Adult Actors: 9am - 1pm, Saturday, August 22nd; 6pm - 10pm, Sunday, August 23rd Audition Dates for Child Actors: 4:30pm - 6:30pm, Tuesday, August 25th Audition Times: Five minute appointment slots will be assigned each day Callback Dates: 6pm - 11pm, Sunday, September 20th; 4pm - 11pm, Monday, September 21st
Rehearsal Period: October 12, 2015 - November 17, 2015; Mon-Fri 7-10pm, Sat 1-5pm, and Sun 6-10pm with one set day off per week.
Tech Week: November 18, 2015 - November 25, 2015. No tech week conflicts permitted.
Performances: November 27, 2015 - December 24, 2015. Daytime and weekend availability is necessary for the duration of the performances, including an afternoon performance on Christmas Eve.
Please prepare a 16-32 bar cutting of a musical theatre song and a short monologue. The two nights of general auditions will not include a dance call, but there will be a dance audition at callbacks. Auditions not to exceed 3 minutes total. Bring a current headshot, resume and sheet music. An accompanist with be provided. We look forward to seeing you at Metropolis!
