Chicago Theatre-Opera
The Telephone and Hello Out There

Pay: Stipend

Description:

Chicago Theatre-Opera is seeking three actors, one female, two males, to play two small scenes at the penultimate moment of Hello Out There. No singing involved. The libretto is taken from the William Saroyan play of the same title. The piece is very contemporary. Most of the singing is Sprechstimme, or spoken-sung, and the last two scenes are spoken in their entirety. The female actor should be equipped to play a strumpet, and to slap the soprano. Actors in their 40s preferred, but all considered.

Interviews/auditions will be scheduled as needed.

Rehearsals May 20 thru May 28, approximately 8 rehearsals or less, in the city, on the North side.
Performances May 29 & 30, and Jun 5 & 6 at the Piccolo Theatre in Evanston.
