Cult Camp Productions announces auditions for their upcoming 2015 season.
Auditions are April 12th 10am-3pm, and April 13th 7-10pm. Callbacks for Altar Boyz will be April 14th 7-10pm, and Zanna Don't will be April 15th 7-10pm.

Auditions and callbacks will be held at Mayne Stage, 1328 W Morse Ave. All ethnicities are encouraged to audition. There is a stipend and potential bonus. We are casting for the following shows:

Altar Boyz
Rehearsals will start June 22nd, and shows will be August 6,7,8,9,14,15,16,21,22,and 23rd.

Matthew- (Tenor 1) (Vocal Range - Just shy of 2 octaves from C below middle C up to a B) The Leader. He's the strong one. The real heartthrob. Oozes confidence. Well built.

Mark- (Tenor 1) (Vocal Range - C below middle C up to high E - 2+ octaves). The Sensitive One. Slight build. He's totally gay but it's never acknowledged. The audience knows it in the first few seconds. The rest of the Altar Boyz are oblivious. He has a major crush on Matthew.

Luke- (Tenor 2) (Vocal Range - C below middle C up to an A. Needs to hit the E 2.5 octaves above that in a few riffs) The Bad Boy. Part of what makes Luke such an appealing Altar Boy is his delicious ghetto inflections and mannerisms. He's a rapper, he's street-wise but he's from the suburbs. Basically, Luke is the Donnie Wahlberg of the Altar Boyz. He doesn't come across as being exceptionally smart, but has a heart of gold

Juan- (Tenor 1) (Vocal Range - C below middle C up to a B flat) (Hispanic) The Latin Lover. Needs a good Spanish accent. Strongly passionate about everything. He's trying so hard to be good, but he wants so much to be bad.

Abraham- (Tenor 2) (Vocal Range - C below middle C up to A, but also has to have a very strong super high falsetto up to a female range high B) The Gefilte Fish Out Of Water. He is the Jewish member who is along for the ride. He never feels like he fits in, but he might be the only one who truly gets what it's like to be an Altar Boy.

Announcer/God- Voiceover

Zanna Don't
Rehearsals will start September 7th, and shows are October 20,22,25,30,31, and Nov. 1st

ZANNA (tenor/baritone to high G): the heart and soul of Heartsville; a hip, fun-loving matchmaker, driven to make the world better, even if he doesn't always fully think through his choices

STEVE (baritone to E-flat above middle C): the new guy in town; All-American high school football hunk, but self-effacing and shy; hoping desperately to fit in, his dreams will be alternately fulfilled and shattered.

KATE (belt to C, plus a few other higher notes mixed in): sweet, innocent over-achiever who, like Steve, is not quite prepared to have her world thrown upside-down.

MIKE (tenor/baritone to high G): all-around cool guy; captain of the chess team, which makes him king of the school, but with a humble appreciation of the simple joys in life, like finding that one special guy to settle down with.

ROBERTA (belt to high F): tough as nails on the outside, a hopeless romantic on the inside; perennial unlucky in relationships, she heroically, and comically, never gives up her pursuit of true love.

TANK (tenor/baritone to high G): Zanna's sidekick, and the school DJ; somewhere between nerdy and ultra-cool, he's also hopelessly in love with Zanna; doubles as a DINER CUSTOMER and also TEX. (This role has already been cast)

CANDI (belt to C, plus a few other higher notes mixed in): the school's narrow-minded busy-body, the one you love to hate; doubles as a DINER CUSTOMER and LORETTA. Miss know it all

ARVIN (baritone to E-flat; should have a few low notes as well): Candi's browbeaten sidekick; a nice guy who just sort of goes with the flow; doubles as DINER CUSTOMER and also BRONCO. The quiet one.
