Third Eye Theatre Ensemble announces auditions for the Chicago premiere of the opera Sumeida's Song by Mohammed Fairouz. There is pay in the form of a stipend. We do not provide housing.
Seeking the following roles:
Mabrouka - Soprano, Mother of Sumeida, 40's
Asakir - Mezzo-Soprano, Mother of Alwan, 40's
Sumeida - Tenor, 20's
Alwan - Lyric Baritone, 20's

Rehearsals will begin in late August or early September with performances taking place in late October and early November.
Please prepare 1 contemporary aria in English. If you do not have a contemporary aria in English, prepare a contemporary art song in English. Please bring a second contrasting aria in any language.
