Directed by Holly Stauder, with music direction by Linda Madonia, this entertaining five women ensemble musical is about an ambitious, young lawyer who learns the importance of being part of a community of women.
Seeking:
Bette: Pushing 60. Polished. Worldly. Could intimidate the world into submission, but with a heart of gold.
MC. 40s. Zen outer layer laboring valiantly to squelch disappointed, ex-Catholic girl.
Cynthia: 40s. Naturally optimistic and enthusiastic. In perfect control but always on the verge of being overwhelmed.
Sara: Approaching 35. Aggressive career woman, secure in her intelligence. Not yet wise.
Gabe: Mid-30s. Private, capable, asexual in dress and manner.
Pay: $225 for the run of show.
Auditions will be held at The Woman's Club of Evanston at 1702 Chicago Avenue, Evanston.
Rehearsals Mon - Thursday nights from June 1- July 2. An occasional Saturday or Sunday if necessary. Tech (full days) July 6 and 7. Performances Wednesdays at 2, Thurs, Friday and Saturday evenings July 8-11, 15-18 and 22-25 with the possibility of adding a Wednesday night show. If a show is added, there will additional pay.
