BrightSide Theatre, Naperville's Only Professional Theatre Performing in the Historic Downtown District has auditions for The Sound of Music, directed by Jeffrey Cass, musically directed by Michael Kaish, and choreographed by Jeni Donahue.
Audition Dates:
February 15 Kids 4-7pm and adults 7-10pm
February 16 Kids 6-7 and adults 7-10
Callbacks Feb 18th 7-10pm
Auditions will be at the performance space at the Theatre at Meiley-Swallow Hall on North Central College's campus, 31 S. Ellsworth in Naperville.
Rehearsals will begin April 27 and take place in Downers Grove in the evenings. The Sound of Music will play Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, June 12th through June 28th.
Bring headshot or photo/resume. An accompanist will be provided so please bring sheet music in the key you will be using as no a cappella or recorded music will be accepted. You may be asked to stay for a brief dance call, so dress to sing & bring movement-appropriate clothing. If we ask you to stay and dance, you will be given time to change. Adults: prepare 32 bars of a song in the style of the show that best showcases your voice and a one minute monologue. Children: prepare 32 bars of a song in the style of the show.
