/kor/ productions presents Carmen!. Our own adaptation of Bizet's Carmen, staged as a 1930's style radio play, directed by Allison Shoemaker.
Auditioning for:
Carmen - mezzo-soprano
Escamillo - bass
Micaela - soprano
Zuniga/Le Dancaïre - baritone
Morales/Le Remendado - tenor/high baritone
Frasquita - soprano
Mercedes - mezzo-soprano
We will also be taking submissions for a foley artist.
Auditions are Sunday, February 8th, from 10 am to 3pm, and Monday, February 9th from 6pm to 11pm, at the Mayne Stage, 1330 W Morse Ave, in Rogers Park.
Rehearsals will start April 6th, Monday through Wednesday and Saturdays. Our first performance is Monday, May 4th. There will be one brush up rehearsal Saturday, May 2nd. The second performance is Monday, May 11th.
Please bring a hard copy of your music for the accompanist. Prepare two contrasting arias, one in French.
