Woodstock Musical Theatre Company announces Open Auditions for Oliver.
Audition dates:
February 1st (3:00 - 7:00 p.m.) - Children Only
(BOTH BOYS & GIRLS WILL BE CAST AS ORPHANS)
February 2nd & 3rd (7:00 - 9:30 p.m.) - Adults Only
Callbacks (if necessary) will be held on Thursday, February 5th at 7 p.m. (TBA)
Auditions will be held in the Green Room of the Woodstock Opera House on the Woodstock Square; please use the side stage door entrance on Dean Street. No appointment is necessary.
Cast members pay a refundable deposit of $25 for their script and supply their own make-up and shoes. Artistic Director Barry R. Norton, Vocal Director Barb Neely and Choreographer Jocelyn France need a cast of about 30.
Rehearsals will take place in Woodstock four nights a week beginning Sunday, February 8th. Actors are scheduled only for the days they are needed to make best use of our time.
Prepare 32 bars of a song from Oliver!
An accompanist will be provided. No cassettes or acapella please.
In addition, you will be taught a dance routine, so please wear dance shoes and comfortable clothes you can dance in.
Be prepared to read from the script.
