Citadel Theatre announces auditions for its production of the hysterical boulevard comedy Don't Dress for Dinner by Marc Camoletti, adapted by Robin Hawdon and directed by Robert Estrin ("Lend Me a Tenor," "Cabaret," "Other People's Money") In this hilarious romp of interrupted sexual rendezvous, mistaken identities and a gourmet meal, the laughs are constant and the pace breathless.
Available roles:
BERNARD, the husband, successful businessman, mid-30s to mid 40s;
JACQUELINE, Bernard's wife, elegant, sophisticated, mid-30s to mid 40s;
ROBERT, Bernard's friend, another successful businessman, mid-30s to mid 40s;
SUZANNE, Bernard's mistress,a model, voluptuous and sexy, 30s to early 40s;
SUZETTE, the cook, petite, has a character voice that can change from broad and bawdy to refined at whim, mid-20s to mid-30s;
GEORGE, Suzette's husband, a big, imposing guy, mid-20s to mid-30s. All parts will use English accents.
Rehearsals tentatively scheduled to begin mid-March, 2015. Performances April 24, 2015 to May 24, 2015. A Wednesday matinee is scheduled for 11:00 AM on May 6, 2015. An additional Wednesday matinee may be scheduled at a date to be determined.
