Adapt Theatre Productions is holding auditions for Scissortail written by Isaiah Werner and directed by Aaron Henrickson.

Scissortail tells the story of Gavin, an Oklahoman forced to deal with the traumatic affects the Oklahoma City Bombing had on his life, twenty years after the event. Told through conversations between Gavin and his best friend Sarah, recorded conversations with Timothy McVeigh, and thematic dream sequences, Scissortail confronts the theme of loss in a unique way and sheds light on one of the most horrific terrorist attacks in American history.

Roles:
Gavin: Young sarcastic male in his mid - late 20s. He is troubled by the death of his father, and haunted by the images of 20 years ago.

Tim: (Historical Character) White male in his mid - late 20s. Thin and fit, crew cut, the man responsible for the planning and execution of the Oklahoma City Bombing.

Gary: Male in his early 30s - early 40's. Gavin father. He is a charming, playful, and loving father who might be a in a bit over his head from time to time. He appears in Gavin's dreams throughout the show.

Sarah: Female in her mid - late 20s. A sharp, and articulate longtime friend of Gavin. In her professional role as a therapist she works with Gavin to unravel his repressed history and confront his grief.

Lou Michel/Ensemble: (Historical Character): White male in his mid - late 40's One of the only reporters to conduct an extensive recorded interview of Timothy McVeigh in prison.

Gavin's Grandmother/Ensemble: Female, in her early - mid 50's. She raises Gavin after the death of his father.

Tom/Ensemble: Male in his 30s - 40's. Coworker of Gary.

Candice/Ensemble: Female in her 30's - 40's. Coworker of Gary.
