Gorilla Tango Burlesque seeks a cast of eight (men and women) for their newest production: DD7 in Thunderballs: A James Bond Boylesque. We will also be casting understudies for our other productions in open runs. Auditions will be dance-based with light cold readings, held on Sunday, December 7th from 7:30-11:30pm, scheduled in groups in 1-hour slots divided by gender.
Audition Date: Sunday, December 7th from 7:30pm-11:30pm. Callbacks: Monday, December 8th from 7:30-11:30pm. Auditions and callbacks will be scheduled in one hour blocks.
Type/Restrictions: 21 and over only please. Must be comfortable stripping down to pasties and underwear. Men and women with comedy, improv, and/or dance backgrounds are especially encouraged to submit. No prior burlesque/boylesque experience required.
Rehearsals will be 1-2 days per week beginning in January 2015 and are always scheduled based on actor availability. 'James Bond' will open Saturday, April 18th at 10:30pm and will perform every Saturday for 12 weeks with the possibility of extension. Understudy positions in ongoing shows perform Fridays or Saturdays at 9:00pm, 10:30pm, or 11:59pm depending on casting. Understudies will begin performing in January and are guaranteed at least one performance per month.
Audition will consist of a non-strip dance taught day-of followed by some light cold readings.
