Greenman Theatre
A Very ᴃGrady Murder

Pay: No Pay

Description:

One of the Brady family has witnessed a murder, so the entire family goes into the Witness Protection Program. Against the WPP rules, one of their members signs them up to compete on a TV show, because they are promised that they will be competing against the Partridge Family. When they get to the show, however, they find out that they will be competing against a very different family instead--the Grouse Family! What will that mean??? You can be sure that there will be murder, mayhem, singing, dancing, period costumes, and audience interaction in this parody of the classic TV show The Brady Bunch.

Such is the plot of GreenMan Theatre's upcoming dinner theatre musical murder mystery A Very ᴃGrady Murder, written and directed by Carolyn Thomas-Davidoff.

Auditions will be Sunday December 14 from 2-4:30 PM and Monday December 15 from 7-9:30 PM. Auditions will be held at First United Methodist Church at 232 S. York in Elmhurst. No appointments are required to audition. There is no pay. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script and some possible improvisation. Not all roles require singing, but all who attend should be prepared to sing at least a verse of a song of choice. For those who wish to be considered for a singing role, the time period will be early 1980s, so a song from that era or the late 1970s would be ideal, or perhaps a new take on a more classic song. There will be a CD player provided for those who wish to have musical accompaniment.

Time Commitment:

Besides a cast meeting prior to the holidays, rehearsals would begin after the new year with a production run of 5 performances between Feb. 20 and March 1, 2015 at Angelo's Ristorante in Elmhurst.

For those who cannot attend the two audition dates, please email Carolyn Thomas-Davidoff in advance to see about an alternative audition time.
