Steel Beam Theatre announces auditions for Veronica's Room a psychological thriller by Ira Levin (author of Deathtrap and Rosemary's Baby).

Auditions will be held at SBT, 111 W Main Street, St. Charles IL on Sunday November 2, 2014 from 4:00-6:00 p.m.

The Play: It is 1973. College Students Susan and Larry are invited to a New England Mansion by its caretakers. Susan is encouraged to impersonate Veronica, a long dead daughter of the family, in an effort to provide comfort to Veronica's only surviving sister. Once dressed in Veronica's clothes, Susan finds herself trapped within the role.

Open Roles:

Girl (Susan, late teens- 20s) A woman of her time, the girl is free-wheeling, liberated and upbeat. She takes on the role of Veronica which spirals her into a world of terror.

Young Man (Larry, early to late 20s) Not at all who he at first seems to be, the Young Man is initially guarded and conflicted and eventually takes on the "roles" of two other people.
