Bailiwick Chicago is holding General Auditions December 5-6.
We are seeking actors (both singing and non-singing) for a variety of projects and productions as part of our 2010 Spring/Summer Season. All ages, all types. Bailiwick Chicago embraces non-traditional, alternative casting. Every audition will be videotaped for our "actors database".
Our 2010 Spring / Summer Season will include:
- a musical revue in February
- a workshop of an original play in March
- a workshop of an original musical in April
- a benefit performance of a new play in May (with possible full run in the Fall)
- a well-known (but rarely produced) major musical in June - August
Material To Prepare:
SINGERS should prepare:
- 32 bars of a song that really highlights your strengths as a singer AND actor
- One monologue (90 seconds or less) from a character that demonstrates your passion and intelligence as an actor
NON-SINGERS should prepare:
- Two contrasting monologues (each 90 seconds or less) from characters that demonstrate your passion and intelligence as an actor
