Chemically Imbalanced Comedy and Strangeloop Theatre are seeking actors for a joint Halloween production of "Hack/Slash". Based on the comic book series by Tim Seeley, "Hack/Slash" is a comedic, action-filled take on the slasher movie genre. Cassie Hack is the "last girl standing" horror victim, who teams up with the giant Vlad to fight back against slashers and monsters.
Seeking women and men of all types to play all 11 roles in the show. FIGHT/COMBAT experience is a huge plus. We are also particularly looking for several TALL men (6'3"+).
Auditions will be held at CIC Theatre (1422 W Irving Park Rd) on Saturday, August 2 from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm and Sunday, August 3 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm.
Rehearsals will begin the week of August 4. There will be 4-5 rehearsals each week during evenings and weekend days. A tech and preview process will take place the first week of September through Saturday, September 6 with additional rehearsals the following week.
The show opens on Friday, September 12 and will then run on Friday and Saturday nights through November 1 at 8:00pm. Expected running time is 60-75 minutes.
