Seeking nonequity male and female actors of all ages for our new summer festival, Art Meets Science at the Theater. The festival will feature plays by Barbara Wells, Laura Scruggs, Joe Weintraub, and Leonard Franks and will explore the genres of fantasy, sci-fi, and horror by bringing staged readings to Chicago Dramatists in July.
We seek men and women to play ages 7-800 years old. We seek a group of diverse actors and will cast over 25 actors to participate in the festival.
Auditions will be held at Bughouse Theater in the front room, 2054 W. Irving Park Road, Chicago, IL 60618
Each play will rehearse for two hours during the evenings of July 1, 2, 3, 7, 8, 9, 10 and perform once on July 11, 12, and 13.
Please bring a H/R and a 1 minute contemporary monologue. Arrive a bit early if you can; we will begin with readings from the scripts and ask for a monologue if needed. Callbacks will consist of readings from the scripts.
