ROBBIE HART (M, 25-35, Rock Tenor, low B to high A to high C/optional strong falsetto) - Leader of a small local wedding band who cares much more about creating personal memories for the little guy than fame and fortune for himself. Loses his faith in love when he's dumped at the altar by his high school sweetheart and spends the course of the show struggling to find it again and questioning his own values against his era's. Quick, funny, hopeful, but not without the dark side that emerges from all of us when we get royally dumped.

SAMMY (M, 25-35, Baritone to high F) - Bass player in Robbie's band. Cares VERY much about fame and fortune for himself and the band, he believes in their talent and craves the rock star life. A sworn bachelor who doesn't want to admit that ex-girlfriend Holly might be the one.

GEORGE (M, 25-35; Baritone to high F with strong falsetto) - Keyboard player of the band. Boy George admirer. Gay and oddly if quietly confident about it, especially for the 80s and especially for Ridgefield. Often the sanest member of the three guys. Rapping ability a must.

GLEN GUGLIA (M, 25-35, Baritone to high G) - Julia's fiance and Wall Street stock broker. Hungry and thriving in the era of Greed-Is-Good, spending most of his time in New York, the center of the universe, surrounded by endless opportunities for big, quick money, he wants to marry Julia to reward her for her loyalty but also to live life to the fullest in the slimiest of ways.

JULIA SULLIVAN (F, 25-35, Soprano, low G to E ) - New Jersey banquet hall waitress. Klutzy and good-hearted, Julia grew up pressured by her mother and everyone around her to value looks and money in a husband over heart and soul. Loves and wants to marry Glen, even though she admits he's changed. Once Robbie comes along, she starts to realize that the things she's been taught might be wrong, but struggles to forsake them.

HOLLY (F, 25-35, Pop belt to middle E ) - New Jersey banquet hall waitress; Julia's cousin; Sammy's ex. Street-smart and sexy, Holly's read every magazine, keeps up with all things trendy and thrives on being young and hot in the 80s. Broke up with Sammy because he's an idiot; slowly realizes that she might love that idiot. Great dancer with strong, unique belt.

LINDA (F, 25-35, Rock belt, to middle D) - Robbie's fiancee who dumps him at the altar. We hate her because she dumps our hero, but begrudgingly admit that she was right to acknowledge that some high school sweethearts change in their 20s and shouldn't actually get married. Confident about her sexuality, with ambitions about her life in Ridgefield. Versatile comic actor who can effortlessly switch from metal to music box ballerina.

GRANDMA ROSIE (F, 50-70, Mezzo Soprano that can rap) - Robbie's grandma. Sweet, surprisingly spicy, believes in love and wants the world for her grandson.

ENSEMBLE - 3M, 3F - Gritty, funny, versatile actor/singer/dancers who will play a wide range of characters, from Julia's mother Angie to various marrying couples and wedding guests to Ridgefield barflies to Las Vegas celebrity impersonators (Ronald Reagan, Tina Turner, Imelda Marcos, Cyndi Lauper, Mr. T).
