Description:

GreenMan Theatre announces auditions for their Showcase production of an adaptation of the classic children's novel The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett. This beloved story will be adapted by Linda Roberts, who also directs the production. Roberts has appeared in the GreenMan productions of Pride and Prejudice and Ravenscroft; Roberts has also acted in and directed numerous productions at a variety of area theatres.

The auditions will consist of cold readings of the script. Scenes used in the auditions will be available on the GreenMan website at www.greenmantheatre.com. Characters in this adaptation will be speaking in the standard British (RP) dialect or with a Yorkshire dialect. All actors who audition will be expected to audition using these dialects. There are a number of roles for young actors. All actors under the age of 18 will need signed permission by a parent or guardian to audition.

Auditions will be held in Asbury Hall at First United Methodist Church at 232 S. York in Elmhurst on Sunday February 10 at 3 PM, Monday February February 11 at 7 PM, and Tuesday February 12 at 7 PM.

Time Commitment:

The production will run for 8 weekend performances during April 5-14.
