Oak Park Festival Theatre is pleased to announce our first show of our 39th year, Someone Who'll Watch Over Me by Frank McGuinness. Directed by Belinda Bremner. The story of 3 men from different countries trying to survive.
We are currently looking for:
Adam- 30-35 year old, NON EQUITY preferably AFRICAN AMERICAN (HISPANIC and ASIAN are encouraged to submit as well)
Adam is American, a child psychiatrist, over achiever, dedicated, devoted, good guy, in good physical shape
and an UNDERSTUDY for:
Edward 40-45 year old NON EQUITY CAUCASIAN (must be able to do Irish accent)
Edward is Irish, a photographic journalist, bitingly quick witted, great story teller, family man
Michael- 50-60 year old NON EQUITY CAUCASIAN (must be able to do British accent)
Michael is British, a Middle English Literature professor, widower, loves his mother
Auditions:
Tuesday July 22 6-10pm for Adam
Wednesday, July 23 6-10 for Edward and Michael
Callbacks: Saturday July 28 11-3pm
Time Commitment:
Rehearsals start September 19 and are Wednesday-Fri nights and Saturday and Sunday during day
Previews October 4-5
Opens: October 6 and runs to November 11 running Thurday-Saturday at 8pm and Sundays at 5pm
Material To Prepare:
If interested, please prepare a 1 minute contemporary dramatic monologue. If auditioning for Michael or Edward, be prepared to showcase the dialect.
