Jedlicka Performing Arts Center is holding auditions for Sunset Boulevard. Seeking 2 Male Principals; 2 Female Principals; 4 Featured Male Roles and a large ensemble.
Sunset Boulevard weaves a magnificent tale of faded glory and unfulfilled ambition as silent film star, Norma Desmond, longs for a return to the big screen, having been discarded by tinsel town with the advent of 'talkies.' Her glamour has faded in all but her mind. When she meets struggling Hollywood screen-writer, Joe Gillis, in dramatic circumstances, their subsequent passionate and volatile relationship leads to a tragic conclusion.
Rehearsals: from Feb. 13th. Performances: Fridays & Saturday Evenings & Sunday Matinees April 20th through May 5th
16 bars of an upbeat and 16 bars of a ballad. Bring sheet music - accompanist provided. Also bring clothes and shoes for a dance combination as well.
