All My Sons Reviews
Chicago Reader- Highly Recommended
"...This heavy-handed but undeniably powerful American classic crackles under Michael Menendian's direction thanks to intense and honest performances by the entire cast-in particular Chuck Spencer as Joe, Matthew Klingler as his son, and the superb JoAnn Montemurro as Joe's wife, who clings desperately to the hope that her other son, an airman reported MIA, is not among the war dead."

"...As was sometimes the case with Ibsen, most of the action has already happened before the play begins, and we are just waiting for the characters to share all their information. But while that unfolds, we witness the conflict between idealism and survival that Ibsen and Miller were fascinated by. There are all sorts of themes people still connect with: whether profit is ethical in the military industry, the difficulty of adjusting to life as an ex-con, the difficulty of adjusting to life as a civilian. The discount price for students makes this an excellent opportunity for more people to learn to appreciate theatre at its best."

"...If you have never seen this Arthur Miller classic, or would just like to see it again, I highly recommend this production. The subject matter will ring as true to you now as it did to audiences when it first premiered."

"...Under the direction of Michael Menendian, Matthew Clinger gives a unique portrayal of Chris, who is often an idealist. A Man who idolizes his father, and causes those around him to pursue unattainable goals. Instead, Clinger portrays Chris as a paragon of conscience and moral virtue, whose love, for both his parents, is a product of filial obligation. Ultimately, he forces the other characters, especially his father, to confront the shortcomings which are legion. In doing so the tragedy is partially transferred unto Joe and Kate, whose self delusions that Larry will return and that they have no culpability in his death are shattered, destroying the family."

"...This dynamic production, helmed by a talented, award-winning director and featuring a cast of artists devoted to bringing to life the work of one of America’s finest playwrights, is a show that must be seen. A period classic, Miller’s play still speaks loudly to today’s world. In this professionally polished production we have play that deserves its place in today’s theatre."
