Part social comedy, part tragedy, After the Dance explores the crumbling façade of the Mayfair party circuit in 1930s London. With one war over, and another fast approaching, David and Joan Scott-Fowler are determined to exist in a state of idealistic, inebriated bill; but when the young Helen Banner pierces through the hedonism, David and Joan are forced to confront the truths around them, with devastating consequences.
