A Midsummer Night's Dream Reviews
Chicago Reader- Somewhat Recommended
"...t's too bad the supernatural parts are so tedious, because the cast shows promise elsewhere. Of the four young lovers lost in the woods, the women are especially strong. Diana Coates makes a tangy and intelligent Hermia, while Deborah Craft brings a surprisingly effective Carol Burnett-like goofiness to Helena. Joshua D. Allard's costumes are presumably meant to be sexy and exotic, but everybody ends up looking like a Game of Thrones extra."

"...Often thought to be Shakespeare’s most popular comedy, the Piccolo Company offers an entertaining production within its intimate space inside the Evanston Metra Station. Fine direction, excellent acting and lush technical support make this enchanting comedy even more alluring and magical. Hearing the Bard’s delicious dialogue spoken with such clarity and with complete understanding is a treat, not often found in classical productions these days. And, if that weren’t enough, Piccolo Theatre’s production will remind audiences that welcome warm weather is just around the corner."
