A cabaret of songs by the German-born composer of "September Song" and "Mack the Knife." A Kurt Weill Cabaret will feature new arrangements and musical direction by two-time Jeff-Award winner Jeremy Ramey. Weill, who began his career in Germany, emigrated to the U.S. in 1935 where he went on to write Broadway musicals with lyricists including Ogden Nash, Ira Gershwin and Maxwell Anderson. Ramey, honored by the Jeffs for his musical direction of Smokey Joe's Cafe and The Light in the Piazza, was previously music director for Theo Ubique's Aspects of Love, Passion, and Master Class.
